Peace Education Active Learning / Hiroshima Peace Culture Center
On July 22, 2023, a Peace Education Active Learning Workshop was held for international students enrolled in universities and graduate schools in Hiroshima City. During a reflection session, we facilitated a workshop to deepen their learning on peace education at the request of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Center.
Holistic Peace Education / Hiroshima City
In March 2023, a two-day interactive peace education program was conducted for high school students in Hiroshima Prefecture. Two graduates of the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica served as facilitators, guiding participants through the basic theories and practical examples of peace and conflict studies as well as peace education. By reflecting on peace education in Hiroshima, a city that experienced the atomic bombing, the participants explored together how high school students, as future changemakers, can contribute to peacebuilding efforts.
Peace Education Active Learning Workshop / Okayama University
On March 10, 2024, we held a Peace Education Active Learning Workshop for students from Okayama University and universities in Hiroshima City. We conducted fieldwork and lectures to learn about the history of Hiroshima, and the workshop provided opportunities for participants to share various perspectives and ideas, engage in discussions, and express in words the actions they could take for peacebuilding.
